Imerys kaolin
At Imerys RCC, virtually all of the kaolin produced is for the global paper industry.. Kaolin is transferred from the Mine Site, in Ipixuna city, where it is mined, to the Barcarena Plant through a 158-kilometer long ore pipeline. In Barcarena, kaolin goes through a strict beneficiation process so that quality is assured.
The products of Imerys RCC vary in accordance with the process that is applied. There is a comprehensive portfolio of products, that are available in a variety of ‘product forms (slurry, tube-press, spray-dried and granulate).
