Relationship
Imerys RCC with open doors and arms
One of the main integration programs created by Imerys Rio Capim Caulim is called ‘Bem-Vindo’ (Welcome), which consists of the employees and their families visiting the Company’s facilities in Barcarena. This year, this program has been extended and a variety of people have taken part such as authorities, journalists, the community, and university students. In these visits, the guests are welcome by IRCC professionals who explain about the history of Imerys in Pará, the kaolin production process, the use of kaolin in our everyday life, the environmental commitment and the social programmes maintained by the Company. The visitors also have the opportunity to get to know the plant's operating area. This is yet another step taken by Imerys towards building relationships with the local population and opinion-makers, thus reinvigorating its transparency. This partnership-type relationship strengthens trust and helps in everyone’s development. RCC supports good initiatives as well as the integration of everyone following the Company’s development.
‘Moments of leisure’ for employees’ wives
For Imerys, family outings are always special. It is part of Imerys RCC’s actions to gather the wives of its employees in ‘moments of leisure’. This is the Plus Week, where the families get hints on family planning, healthy eating habits, fashion and beauty, amongst other things. The Plus Week has been included in Imerys’ projects since August of 2007. This event has always been well received by those who participate in all of the scheduled activities and help Imerys achieve one of its main objectives: to integrate the employees’ family within the Company. Through the Plus Week, the Company proves that education and fun together can only end up in a happy marriage.
